Why to support Hospital of Hope
The Haitian Department of Health supports the Hospital of Hope in Pilate by providing financial assistance to pay the salaries of its medical professionals (the doctor and the nurses).
The operation of the hospital requires the work of 145 employees to provide the people of Pilate basic health care, but also a program to combat HIV / AIDS and, more recently, a cholera eradication effort.
With an external supply of $10,000 per month, the hospital can run on a regular basis, pay the salaries of technicians and non-professional staff (assistants, kitchen, laundry, maintenance, concierge, security) and provide adequate care health to the people of the town. NGOs contribute to cover a large part of these financial needs. In this context, the Byas Foundation support the implementation of projects to improve the hospital as well as the provision of care to indigent patients.
